New Year Who Dis?

Wow where did 2022 go?! As I sit here drinking from my "Go Ask Your Father" cup, and binge on my annual guilty pleasure show (a Millennial Favorite - Gilmore Girls) I can't help to think that these years are flying by faster than I remember.

Google Photos sent me memories they collected, and seeing how quickly my kiddos have grown has me a bit in the feels. (Is someone cutting onions in here???) It feels like yesterday my daughter was obsessed with Moana and she learned all the words to "You're Welcome." On our Spring Break Trip to Playa Del Carmen that year it was a constant photo-op of her and a coconut because "the island gives us what we need!" We shared a video of her in that phase to our family chat, and her response now as a teenager is "Delete!" What I would give to get more time with that silly girl...

As parents David and I have prioritized family trips over "things" and are grateful that we have these memories to re-live. I am thankful of the time and money we put towards family trips, and will continue to prioritize them as our family grows with each new generation.

So, my advice to you (and always been)

  • Life is short, book the trip!

  • Choose experiences over things

  • Travel often, and to different places

Cheers to 2023,

Cori
